YES I believe that Laila and Tariq are going to be happy together since Rasheed is out of the picture. They love each other for many years and Tariq came back for her. Also they have a child together and one on the way. But I feel bad for Zalmai because his not Tariq child and I'm hoping he doesn't feel left out since he doesn't share the same father as his siblings.
I think Laila and Tariq will definately be happy together. This is because they got along so well when they were kids and they were always in love with one another.
i do belive that laila and tariq will be happy together due to different circumstances between their relationship and through the things they have been through together.even tho tariq left and came back for her i belive they will have happy lives and live happy together.
Definately. They have known each other since they were little, and grown to love each other. Even after Tariq had "died" Laila accepted him back into her life immediately. Tariq also understood and accepted everything that had happened to Laila since he left. They moved away to basically the middle of no where, in which they lived very happily, and that was only the beginning. Even when they get into an argument, they share affection for each other in everything they do, which I believe in the long run will keep them together.
I believe that Laila and Tariq will never separate due to the love they share so they will be extremely happy together. This love is shown by Tariq when he went to Pakistan dedicated to come back for Laila because of his promise made. The love is shown by Laila by still having feelings for him even though he lost a leg. This shows she doesn't care about physical features, it's the personality she cares about.
So far I agree with Sola and Bianca because Laila and Tariq got along when they were kids and when they were teenagers. Tariq and Laila fell in love and they also had a baby together which shows how much they love each other. Similarly Tariq accepted whatever happened to Laila and she having a baby with Rasheed. Zalmai towards the end starts to like Tariq and this makes Tariq feel more like a father.
I believe that they will be happy together, even though both of them went through so much. Laila had to marry Rasheed to survive, she took his abuse. She had to live in constant fear for two reasons, the first is Rasheed's abuse and the second is the fear of Rasheed finding out that Aziza is not his child. She lost her parents and believed she lost her love Tariq. Tariq had to move after he proposed to Laila, and he lost his parents. He went to jail; overall both their lives were ruined because of the war. They both share a past together, and they havea both shared pain and loss. Therefore I believe that they will be happy together
I believe that Tariq and Laila had loved eachother since their childhood. Also, Tariq promising Laila that his coming back for her. This shows the true love he has for her and thats why i think there going to have be happy together.
I do believe that Laila and Tariq can be happy together, they will face problems in their relationship like normal people. It will not just be a fairytale relationship. What I think will make this relationship work is Tariq’s never ending love for Laila. She was with him since their childhood, but I think he will regret that he ever left without her. This is because if he had not left her she would not have gone through all this trouble. However, Tariq loves Laila and her children and he has even come to care for Zalmai. Laila will make this relationship work because she has loved Tariq her entire life, and had even thought of getting rid of Zalmai because she felt she was betraying Aziza and Tariq.
Yes, I truly believe that Laila and Tariq could be happily together, because I think that since they grew up together and were best friends, they understand each other well and you were able to tell that they were going to be soul mates at a younger age. I also believe that their relationship will last because they both have unconditional love for each other, for example even though Laila was married to Rasheed she always reminisced about Tariq and missed him dearly but never got over him even though she thought he was dead. Tariq also kept the promise he made with Laila that he would come back for her no matter what, and that’s exactly what he did. This shows that even though they separated for many years their love for each other never stopped and they can truly live a happy life together.
I agree with Uros' statement that Tariq would do anything to protect her. Tariq is a character who shows many genuine characteristics as they grow up together. In one way or another Tariq's feelings towards Mariam and her feelings towards him show that they can live a happy life together. Throughout their life they could reminice on the good and bad things that happened throughout their childhood life as well as their life now.
Tariq and Laila love each other and will be more than happy with one another. This is one relationship that was not forced upon in this novel. Also i agree that tariq Would do anything to protect her, we seen he stood up for her at the beginning of the novel and he surely would.
Laila and Tariq shared unconditional love for each other throughout the novel by facing several problems that could have destroyed one another. The fact that they show a strong history and bond together, I believe they can and always will be happy together regardless of the hardships they will are put through. They have each other to rely on and get through whatever is in store for the future.
They have to be happy together I see no reason why they wouldn't, as kids they loved eachother although they didn't know it and as teenager they loved eachother even though Tariq changed. When I was reading the part that said Tariq had died I couldn't understand how the author could take the one thing in Lailas life that gave her hope for a better life and I was wondering how the boom could have had a happy ending but wheb Tariq came back into the novel I knew that Laila would have taken him back instantly because their love is so strong not even the years apart or the things thatbhave happened could ruin what they always had.
I believe that Laila and Tariq will live happily together. They both went through hard lives and now that times are getting easier this only makes their relationship stronger. I believe the only obstacle they will have to deal with is the acceptance of Tariq from Zalmai. In my mind I think Zalmai has somewhat accepted Tariq but he will never take Rasheeds spot in Zalmai's heart.
I believe that Laila and Tariq could truly be happy together because I believe in the idea of love equals happiness. That idea may not be true for some people, but for Laila and Tariq it proved to work. Even though they lived through so many difficulties and they experienced so many hardships, they still kept their love for each other alive. At the end of, A Thousand Splendid Suns, we see that their “happily” living together with their children as a married couple. At the end they were truly happy together because they loved each other.
